FragFX v.2 Review Part 1: The Basics

Welcome to the beginning of my longest review yet, this time about a third party accessory for the PS3. If you are low on time, you can skip the second part, but I definitely recommend watching at least the 1st and 3rd parts to fully understand my opinion on this product. At the very least, you might want to read the description in the 3rd part, that’s where I’ll write in whatever I forgot to talk about in the videos.

How do you use the right analoge
@NICKROCKSHARD15 The mouse acts as the right analog stick.
Is it possible to get banned for using this controller? I mean like with the rapid fire and stuff like that.
@Linnet5 Well, I don’t use rapid fire, but I haven’t been banned for anything else. I really don’t know.
@Oyasunimasai I dont want to use rapid fire eather but im a bit worried to get banned. Hope it works
@Linnet5 You won’t get banned then. If Sony has a problem with the controller, then they wouldn’t allow it to be produced in the first place. It isn’t some kind of homemade modded controller that auto-targets headshots, it’s a mass-produced alternative to the DualShock 3.
@Oyasunimasai Bought it now and works fine havent updated it yet but I will soon. Before I bought it I used the dualshock 3 and got a pretty high score with it, but now I cant even use the dualshock because I think its too hard to aim with it. I really like this controller except the small ¨bugs¨ like when it jumps some pixels or sumthing. Im not saying that im gettyng more kills now than before but its fun with some variety

can i change the buttons myself? only modes?
@rooopppi You can configure most of the buttons to your liking, for game mode. You can switch them around as much as you want, except for a few like the d-pad, start and select, L3 and R3, and the PS button.
all you need to know that split fish has 2 controlles with the same name FRAG fx v.2 the newer has some sort of makro funktion and it sucks but, it’s still better than sonys original if you play cod. but the first version of the frag is really beasty when you learn how to handle it. only fags uses something for “11 minutes and put it back in the box” it takes a couple of days to get use to it but now after 2 years and a k/d on 7,2(!) i could beat almost anyone.
FragFX V2 does not work with PS3 3.50 firmware, the mouse is dead and it cannot be reassigned using the controller as the X button does not work.
I think Splitfish have shot themselves in the foot with this one. The bad press alone should have been enough to light a fire under their ass and get them to release the corrective firmware.
Very very poor show Splitfish and Sony has dug their own grave!
Is there an Xbox 360 version or a similar product for Xbox 360?

@albazone Your post is 2 months old, but let me clear it up for anyone in the market for one. The V2 DOES work on PS3, or at least as of 12/18/2010. They have stated there are some counterfeit v2′s that will no longer function.
FragFX V2 does not work with PS3 3.50 firmware, the mouse is dead and it cannot be reassigned using the controller as the X button does not work.

but rapid has been produced and is allowed on PS3 and Xbox 360 due to them allowing companies to produce the controllers and also the terms and conditions dont address them at all…so dont worry bout it 
I bought a FragFX Shark and it would not aim diagonally at all on any of the 10 games I tried. Splitfish reluctantly gave me instructions on how to return it and I shipped it to them over a month ago. They keep telling me, “Oh, we haven’t received it yet… are you sure you sent it.” So, I am screwed out of $120 after two shipping charges and I’ve got nothing.
ALL of the positive reviews on this controller are padded by Splitfish themselves.
DO NOT BUY THIS!
I dont get why people would want to buy this poorly made product to emulate the gameplay that you would normally recieve on a PC. SERIOUSLY! Why oh why?
I’m so tired of getting owned by people using fagfx. I would buy one myself but Im just too cheap and prefer to go pro in a more legit way.
