Release date September 1st 2009 Price 9 HDD – 150 GB The new model heralds a slew of changes for the PlayStation 3 brand, include a change in the official all-caps PLAYSTATION 3 brand to the PlayStation 3 everyone was using anyway, and a new PS3 logo, as seen etched on the side of the new console. The new console will come standard with the recently announced firmware 3.0. A vertical stand will be made available for purchase to make the system vertical, and it will also house a Bravia Sync feature, allowing users to control the PS3 with their Bravia TV remote. The final change is the removal of the Install Other OS feature, meaning no LINUX installs on the smaller unit. The release states that “The new PS3 system will focus on delivering games and other entertainment content, and users will not be able to install other Operating Systems to the new PS3 system.” There is No PlayStation 2 Backwards compatibility.

ps3 fat looks better…touch buttons and its shiny, ps3 slim looks like a piece of plastic shit. thanks to this review i wont buy slim. i dont care if its 120 gig, i have 80 so i dont care. fat ps3 FTW!!!

Yea this thing does look like shit. my friend just traded his in for like $125 like an idiot to get this. for what. first of all it looks like shit. i read the blu ray drive is cheaper and you can’t install linux. what it uses less energy big fuckin woop. 120 gig big deal when my 40 fills i’ll just update with a new one screw it!

you know i have the old ps3 , but it has horrible connection probs but dont get me wrong i love ps3 but im gunna get the new 360 insted . Let me remind you though my ps3 is old as fuck i got the first one that came on the shelves.
